THE MANY STORIES  BEHIND THE DOLLMANCER

As a game design student that specializes in narrative design, I made this short horror prototype over the spam of 3 weeks with the objective of experimenting with environmental storytelling techniques. 

The project was initially inspired by the real-life Island of the Dolls (Isla de las Muñecas) located in Mexico. I took inspiration from it for the visuals and the overall mood, but everything else that you will find here is pure fiction of my invention.

With that said, I built the narration with one question in mind :

How can I tell, through the environment, the story of a man who got devoured by his obsession for collecting dolls?
